Remember the food pyramid that told you to eat 3-5 servings of vegetables and 6-11 servings of bread, cereal, rice, and pasta? That one-size-fits-all approach to eating doesn't work for everyone. And now the U.S. Department of Agriculture is tackling the issue.

Watch Those Fats!
To ensure you're eating in a healthy way -- both for your
weight loss goals and your overall health, you will want to
follow the Food Guide pyramid, which recommends a total fat
intake equal to no more than 30% of your daily calories.
Men between the ages of 19 and 50 need about 2900 calories
each day to maintain their weight, with a 20% variance for
height and activity ranges. Older men need fewer calories
-- between 1600 and 2300 -- because of their more sedentary
lifestyle. This means that ideally, you need to keep your
daily fat intake between 480 and 870 calories.
