Indoor Running OptionsUnder water running is a great alternative If you haven't tried deep-water running, now's the time. You might be recovering from a marathon, injured from overtraining, or looking for ways to keep running when it's just too miserable to run outside. If you're a first-timer in the pool, start out in the shallow end using exaggerated running form. Run on down to the deep end, and keep your arms and legs going using running motion to stay afloat. You can run fast and slow timed periods to simulate intervals. Try different leg motions to strengthen inner and outer leg muscles (you might need to hold on to the side for these). - Mariam Ballantine
