As many of our jobs have led to us becoming more sedentary, most of us have forgotten the health benefits of physical work. While physical activity contributes to weight management, we all need a certain amount of movement daily just for general well-being. How can you work physical activity into your professional life? -Instead of cake or happy hour for the next office celebration, propose bowling or a hike. -Instead of a payroll deduction to the corporate charity of choice, get your team involved in a walk for hunger or a corporate challenge road race. -Consider a team-building activity like a learn-to-row program or an outward-bound style course. -Hold a stand-up meeting.
