The Eyes Have It
Putting is as much an art as it is a science. That's why confidence plays such a big role in putting. But one thing that can help every putter is eye position. Being able to see the line of a putt is the first step toward draining it. And the best way to see the line is to keep your eyes directly over the ball when you putt. This is why so many great putters through the years--players like Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer--have adopted low, crouching putting stances. It helps them see the line better, keep the putter on line better, and make more putts. To check your eye position, stand over the ball and drop a second ball from between your eyes. Watch where it falls, then adjust accordingly. Good luck! -David DeSmith for emazing
