The Uphill Advantage from emazing
You might not seek out an especially hilly course for your next run, but maybe you should. Whatever your level of fitness, running hills helps develop the same muscles you use in sprinting. You're working harder to carry your weight against gravity and you're lifting your legs as if you were running fast, all of which adds up to greater strength. Think about incorporating a hilly run into your routine every couple of weeks, or hit the hills weekly for one or two months if you're preparing for a race. - Mariam Ballantine for emazing
