Running tip of the dayHow to get the best out of your stride from emazing Running Tip of the Day Monday October 23, 2000 There are those out there who believe that a set of four strides is a great way to end just about any workout. Strides are a great way to put some "leg turnover" into your workout without hitting the track every day. Ideally, pick a flat distance of about 100 meters on grass and spend the last five minutes of your workout running quickly but not all-out over the 100m distance, and then jogging back to the start. Repeat four times. These are also great to do on vacation when speedwork is less appealing but you don't want to forget how to move quickly. - Mariam Ballantine
